The golf tournament will be held on Friday, May 13th, 2011, at the renovated Pembroke Pines Golf & Racquet Club. Considered to be one of Broward County's premiere private golf clubs, it features an exceptional 18 hole, par-72 golf course.
Teams of four or individual players are welcome, with a registration fee of $225.00 per player. The registration fee includes greens fees and cart, range balls during practice, lunch sponsored by El Pimiento Restaurant, official tournament commemorative shirt, all tournament amenities and competitions, dinner, andgifts.
Pembroke Pines Golf & Racquet Club challenges the accomplished player, yet does not discourage the beginner. It is a course that is fun and exciting to play, day after day. The course is kept in excellent condition and the greens are built to USGA specifications. Course facilities include a driving range, practice putting green, and practice pitch and chipping green.
Footy, who currently hosts "The South Florida Sportsman Show," airing every Saturday from 11am to 1pm on Clear Channel Radios' "The Sports Animal WINZ-940AM," is known for his deeply rooted commitment to community service and has been a presence on South Florida radio for over 34 years. He was a co-host on a locally produced South Florida morning show from 1974 to 2006, thus holding the record of longest Top 40 CHR DJ in North America.
